Learning Chinese characters has overturned my perception! For instance, the character "心" resembles the shape of a beating heart, and the character "思" is a combination of "fontanelle (brain)" and "心". Originally, the ancients believed that thinking was the joint action of the heart and the brain. This pictographic and ideographic logic of character creation has enabled me to understand the world in a more intuitive and imaginative way.
